The Veraterm Technology Engine (VTE) is customizable and extensible.
Solutions Providers can use the VTE to add Veraterm Technology to
existing product lines.
Technology Providers can offer custom
services to clients which create workflow improvements using Veraterm and Smart Tags.

Infrastructure: The VTE contains the technology infrastructure necessary to build enterprise-level
Smart Tag solutions. |

Value Added: Developers can focus their time and attention on the specific action items

Data Access Technology: Flexible data mapping schemas include the ability to link to multiple
data sources per entity (ie: contact management and accounting) |

Parsers: The VTE manages the parsing of edited text for names, addresses, emails,
phone numbers, labels, etc. |

Term Lists: System resource for use as a parsing mechanism and for
direct Smart Tag creation. |

Connection Pooling: Data connections pooled and shared by the VTE for
use by all components, such as multiple Term Recognizers and Action Classes |

MS Word Text Edit Modes: The native MS Word Smart Tag Recognizer interface fires
after every word is edited ("word" mode). The VTE offers
"paragraph," "sentence" and "word" recognizer modes. |

Built-In Security: Security resources can be shared between components to
avoid the need to log into multiple systems on each workstation. |
|
Recognizer Control: Unlike the native MS Word Smart Tag Recognizers,
Veraterm Recognizers receive notification only when
text is edited, reducing the number of parsed words by 90-96% in Word and 98% in Excel. |

used in the ACT! Personal Edition product and in Professional
Edition custom installations. |

DMA is currently working on final packaging/pricing of the Developer Edition
along with the Partner Program details. |
|
VTE Toolkit/API documentation and code samples are under development. |
|

Understand the commercial value of workflow integration improvements to
business users |
|
Understand that the native Smart Tag interface (alone) is not
sufficient for enterprise-level Smart Tag projects |
|
Would like to work with a set of integration components on which
enterprise-level Smart Tag solutions/products can be built |

May want to add MS Office Veraterm/Smart Tag functionality to an
existing software package as an add-in |
|
Would like to become involved with a new integration technology
at the alpha and beta levels |
