Workflow Integration


  Workflow integration is the automation of critical business processes involving humans, desktop applications and data access.  Workflow integration concentrates on data integration with the purpose of improving workflow.  The closer an integration project gets to the end-user, the more tangible are the project requirements and benefits.  Costs are much more easily estimated resulting in purchase decisions that are much less risky.

Workflow integration projects fall directly in line with other current business initiatives.  Typically, they:
Provide immediate and tangible benefits
Relate directly to increases in productivity
Satisfy strict return-on-investment (ROI) criteria

There are both quantity and quality aspects to workflow integration:
Quantity: Increase efficiency by streamlining the routine and repetitive tasks
Quality: Automate tasks reducing the number of errors and providing information workers more time to focus on more important business initiatives

"Workflow integration" can be thought of as the marriage of "workflow automation" and
"information integration."

 


 

Veraterm Provides Workflow Integration

Veraterm is described as follows:
DMA's Veraterm Software creates intelligent, context-sensitive links between text and database systems.  Veraterm evaluates text as it is entered in "real time" and integrates relevant data to the document workspace.
Veraterm is used to improve workflow efficiency for information workers who process and/or produce documents (emails, word-processing documents and spreadsheets) on a regular basis.  Veraterm allows people to focus on their work (their documents) rather than on the data-access procedures that accompany their work.
